[Requesting Info] Game Crashes To Desktop After Playing Masters Intro Video

Unfortunately neither of these solutions worked, including a fresh install

Anybody have any fixes for my game crashing after the masters load in screen completes? Can’t seem to even get to the first tee box without crashing my entire game.

Been about 5 attempts now. Have restarted the game, my pc, and verified the integrity of my game/download!

• In the EA app, click on the game and then Manage, Repair
• Temporarily disable your anti-virus software

Tried all of this. Still seems to be crashing only for masters video. 

It could be down to a corrupt save or cached file that is specific to the game and not the EA app. 

The game saves limited files after each session in C:\Users\_your user name_\Documents\PGA TOUR  -  Obviously _your user name_ is whatever you call your windows account. 

A couple of words of warning: you will need to set all of your graphics and sound options again if you delete the contents of that folder, and you also want to make sure the EA app has closed gracefully before you delete the contents, or you may lose career progress. 

I've had a few issues at times that have been solved by taking a blunt force approach with that folder.

Crashed at the exact same spot: when masters video/intro ends 

I wish I could give some input to further help beyond saying the only other thing I tried when noticing lock ups was a change of graphics driver, and that did help somewhat, but again it's not guaranteed. My card is Nvidia based, so I swapped from using the game ready drivers to the studio drivers, and that seemed to help with a few of the glitches. Trading a few fps for extra stability isn't too bad a price in my opinion. 

Beyond that, I could only think of suggesting a reinstall, but that depends on your download speeds as to whether you want to go that route.

Curious, if I uninstall, does that get rid of character & career progress?

Not in my experience, but I only had to do a single reinstall.

It seems to be that providing you allow the EA app to close gracefully each time, it will save your progress to their servers.
