So are you feeling like the the aim arrow won't control distance at all?
I just want to see partial power through analog swing within a given range for a club .. which has to include over doing it somehow, otherwise a perfect/full swing goes exactly where the arrow is (basically).
The arrow can't be changing what a full power swing will get you .... if it is, we are just full on dial-a-distance and the swing is basically just pointless.
Might as well have a "swing the club" button after putting the arrow where you want the ball to go.
Just frustrates me.
Moving an arrow around to pick where you want the ball to go isn't golf
The aim marker will impact all shot types by capping backswing length to the new adjusted distance.
The shorter the swing the less speed required on downswing will be the only adjustment to difficulty. No partial shots will be used from the information given in Q&A.

I can't believe they are doing an all new game, with all this effort, and the gameplay is going to be gimped and too easy (as Rory was)

Are you expecting like how the arcade era like 2005 handled partial shots and the marker? That's not coming back unfortunately. Oh well, more game for me to enjoy. You want a extremely hard game go on similation mode assuming it's the same * as 14 or go to 2k.
What I want is the actual act of swinging to be something you have to get good at... and for it to have nuance that impacts things shot by shot...
Like the pros, I want the chance of some bad swings, not perfect shots, in the trees..
Even the worlds best have to stay up on the swing and being dialed in -- that should be in this game also.
Otherwise why not just have a button to "swing" once you've put the arrow where you want?
I want a game that is like golf -- not one that just "looks like it"
