Yeah it can be annoying as hell. I’ve found certain courses like Torrey Pines and Augusta to be far worse than others. Sawgrass is a pleasure to play around.
Anything under 4 ft, I do full bar to power past.
There seems to be some major inconsistancies between courses - St Andrews has undulating greens the size of landing strips, but they play easy just like pebble beach.
Appearently Pro difficulty is better as the grass actually has resistance so it slows the ball down.

As I said in another post I just got the game on Monday. So I started my career in the amateur tour-circuit to get the practice before just jumping in PGA. So I’ve only played those courses.
I had the putting set on normal setting because I didn’t want it to be to easy, but as inconsistent as it is I put putting on the easy setting now…and I still suck lol.

There's a putting challenge in the Tailormade section that is driving me crazy. I am not too terrible at putting, but that one is just crazy. The lines look simple and from not too far away but it just breaks in crazy ways that really aren't indicated. I am sure that one must be bugged or something.

Possibly we have some folks who, if they can't one-putt on every green, there must be something wrong. Not something wrong with their skills, but something wrong with the putting model.
I agree totally that it needs to be harder to hit a fairway off the tee, that lie effect needs to be tougher.
Back to putting, cup physics do need work (lipping in on the right side of the cup happens quite often, while on the left side the ball often seems to just go over the cup).
But as far as everything else goes with putting, I don't have a problem with it.
