- @Kayser_Soze3 No the game is a live service so no new release. At the moment we just expect that the "live" is on.

What they should do is release a new game called "EA PGA Tour - Sim Edition"... to capture an audience that they have alienated.
- @ELF014 I'm a sim player and yes if I play very well I can win every tournament in the career mode so I will like to have harder setting. But what exactly you think EA could do to please us ?

But what exactly you think EA could do to please us ?When I was playing this game... I played with a stock character (no skills, etc...) on SIM settings with additional features disabled. The only thing enabled was the wind meter.
With career mode set to 100% and playing 4 full rounds, I would take the lead in every tournament by Saturday and start pulling away from the field.
A lot of tournaments had someone shooting -10 or something extremely low in round 1 so it took me a few rounds to track the leaders down.
But to answer your question, the game just doesn't play realistically... the greens are way too slow. The ball physics don't feel right at times. I have hit wedges into greens that slope into me that will roll out... and on the very next hole on a green sloping away from me have the ball spin back uphill 30 feet.
Rough has no effect in reducing distance, or reducing spin on the ball. Flop shots are too easy to hit, and stick like glue from every type of lie or green slope. The lack of spin on mid irons is also odd an odd combination for how easy it is to stick shorter clubs. The fall off seems quite extreme.
Don't get me wrong for those looking for a fun, casual outing I think this fits that itch. But for someone looking for a more realistic experience this isn't it.
My issue with EA is that this was packaged and advertised as a full on simulation experince using Shot Link... multiple shot types so you can play like a pro. To be honest I don't thing I ever used more than 6 shot types because scoring in this game was so easy.
If EA had packaged this as just a GOLF GAME, I wouldn't have as much of an issue. I would put it in the category of Mario Golf and Hot Shots Golf. But when they promoted it the way they did... I expected more realism.
What happened to Electronic Arts original slogan... "If it's in the game... it's in the game!"
- @ELF014 I don't disagree with you but I think that you are exaggerating. I agree that the game is too easy and that some shot type like flop shot are too easily perfect, but I totally disagree that it is an arcade game that can be compare to mario golf ... Common man the game is a next gen golf game with stunning graphics, near perfect swing animation, very good feeling of the swing and I think I'm pretty good at the game too but to win the tournament I have to play my best golf game.
@Mickstudio1308If this is a 'live service' game, where are the PGA challenges that they were adding last season within 1 week of the PGA event ending? We've already had probably 6+ events this PGA season on courses that are in this game and no new challenges have been added. It feels to me like the game has been mostly abandoned, aside from some planned updates that were probably already done over a year ago. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't consider myself great at this game... yet with a stock character playing against 100% AI... I am winning every tournament in career mode with 4 full rounds.
The graphics are better than 2K without a doubt.. and I agree J like the swing animation much better. But calling this nextgen graphics is a stretch.
Check out what companies are doing with the Unreal Engine... I don't know it translate to a sports title... but looking at some of the new titles out there... those are nextgen graphics.
- @ELF014 The graphics of the course are very very good and hard to beat. I play to a lot of game on xbox x and for real this game has very good graphics.

I actually would like this. The EA UFC series runs every other year and it gets better each time. That would be cool if EA PGA Tour runs every other year. Hoping the next iteration would mark the return of Photo Game Face and improved character creation. Photo game face with the great graphics would totally rock. I would also like some of the options in the EA Tiger Woods series to return such as options for shot timer, wind and weather.
If they don't start getting this game into shape right now, there will be nobody left to play in 2024, let alone 2025.
This game is a disgrace right now.
