Hi there, sorry to hear you're running into this.
I’m not sure which platform you’re playing on, but if you’re on iOS, please try the following troubleshooting steps and see if they help:
- Check for game updates
Go to the App Store, search for the game, and check whether there is a manual update available. - Make sure you have enough storage space
Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. If your device has less than around 2 GB of free space, please try deleting some unnecessary photos, videos, or apps to free up space. - Offload the app to clear temporary data
Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, find the game, then select Offload App. This can help clear temporary files without fully deleting the app. - Check for iOS updates
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and make sure your device is fully up to date. - Restart your device
Fully power off your iPhone, then turn it back on and try launching the game again.
If the issue continues, some players have found that reinstalling the game can help clear corrupted local data. Before reinstalling, I strongly recommend doing the following first:
- Write down your Player ID, in case you need to contact EA Help for assistance.
- Register or link your email, so your saved progress can be recovered on the same device or another device.
If you can no longer open the game due to constant crashing, you may still be able to find your PvZ2 Player ID from the iOS settings menu:
Settings > PvZ2 > Player Info > Player ID
After you have saved your Player ID and confirmed your account recovery method, you can try deleting and reinstalling the game.
- Check for game updates
