Missing electric blue berry

I have been playing the arena for quite some time. Like many on the forum I achieved 500 points and looking forward to unlock the plant. But after getting 520 seeds in the almanac the plant is still locked. 

I went to ea chat the first person that helped seemed helpful until they told me to restart my phone that the chat was on and I couldn’t get back in time and they ended the chat. 

the second person told me 

1. I had to manually claim the plant.
2. not every arena gives the plant 
3. since I completed at the last 10 hours there’s some sort of glitch

but none of that makes any sense.
