Penny's pursuit boss stopped taking damage

I fought the frostbite caves Dr. Zomboss(the mammoth) in penny's pursuit but when the boss was on the last healthbar it slowly stopped taking damage until the healthbar stopped entirely on the last quarter, and this made me lose 50 diamonds by trying to extend the timer by 30 seconds 2 times.
