Thank you for the reply. It seemed to have fixed itself a few days ago, and I was able to get 2 checkmarks (I'm not sure why it suddenly started working again), but I made sure to heed your advice. All was going well until today; after I did today's level, I didn't even get the option to watch an ad to replay. It took me to the main screen immediately and now I'm stuck at 2/5 levels completed, even though I just finished my 3rd. Ugh.
Interestingly, now the retry button is there on the main menu and I can use it, but I still don't get any progress towards the day 5 reward.
For me it’s replays. Especially when you are getting seed packets for a new plant. No brainer

Pinata party progress leads to 1x big reward of 4000 coins once after every 4 days.
I love partying, so I play it 5 times a day and each party earns at least 1000 coins per play plus a chance to hit the jack pot of 5000 coins. Ignoring the side effects of having more seed packages and an occasional costume, I get 5000+ coins a day.
So once you have realised the zombies have not yet taken a bite at your brainz, please do not blame me if you start to get hooked on partying....
You are so right it gets very addictive especially when it gives you the seed packets you really want such as the head butter lettuce the other week.
I feel the same about the penny pursuit as my slots don’t fill so can keep getting seed packets or gems every day.
