I get constant crashes too. I have a Galaxy Z Fold 4. It crashes at all levels of the game and if it crashes during plant selection I lose any boosts I have. I just lost about 50 gems that I had spent on boosts.
Had multiple crashes due to ads, and most annoyingly, during penny's pursuit and arena matches. It's EA going to do something about the countless guantlets and power packs list to this? It's really quite frustrating.
EA please help, I can duplicate this crash 100% of the time. I have not been able to finish a pennys pursuit level in a week. iPad Pro gen1 iOS 16.3.1 which is the max current update. PvZ2 shows 1/30 patch notes inside the game. Crashes on pennys pursuit every time.
I’m having the same issue in Arena- it crashes mid round and I lose a gauntlet and the potential increase in the round. Today is March 12, 2023. It’s been a few months and still not fixed. Can this bug get elevated to a higher priority on the game play dev team, please? It’s a bit frustrating.
@Lambsy65-- correction, latest TWO Android updates are both broken. The previous one from March 13th 2023, and latest one from yesterday both totally crash on my Samsung Android tablet.
(Rest of games and apps all work fine.)
I am told it does not matter what device you play on.
@nakibest The update effects all users IOS and android,as for the fix contact EA and ask via reporting a problem.The forum is made up of players of the game. We are not EA.
@Lambsy65 - this is not entirely true. I did not reach 20 threads back, but I did read the most recent 10-12 threads here or so. I clearly see most posts are by folks like you and me, i.e. not EA staff but EA staff do read here and sometimes even post messages. 🙂
@Lambsy65-- no way to do this via the game! This expects/assumes me being able to login and get to at least Settings/main menu of PvZ2 Android games. However, I cannot even do that! Game crashes prior to those points - during the loading screen, the one with the green progress bar.
So, if I am to report this it cannot be from the game. I am looking at email or a way to report this online on my Windows 10 PC.
@nakibest press the wrench on the game then press help, it will then take you to EA help on the internet, fill the form in under the header report a bug,,do not forget to include your player ID which you will find under download preferences
@nakibest I used PC to contact EA before and the link below is the address I have used with a very small degree of success.
(Please note that if it is just a feedback or bug report, it seems to be logged to their system and you would rarely be getting a reply) You might give it a try since if your game failed to start up, there is little option available for you.
A quick question please, have you tried to turn off your internet data and WiFi and see it could start up to the main menu? If it does then this is a good time to take note of your player ID as you will need to provide this information so the advisor can work on your account should it be required.
Thanks @Lambsy65 I will update it on my old iPhone 5s first in the coming weekend and see how it goes. I would recommend player playing with only one device to hold off the update from now just in case.
FYI there has been data pushes for both 10.4.1/10.4.2 and 10.3.1 earlier and I guess this is to extend the old version a little longer, ultimately, if you want the next new plant, you will have no other options but to update at a later date.
Having a similar issue where the game crashes when selecting game mode, any ideas how to fix?
I've restarted my phone, the app, reinstalled the app, deleted cache and data and same issue whenever I log in through my account. I'm on android. Hope someone can help.
