  • @EA_Cath Thanks!!! It appears really frequently moving in the game menus or in the game store.
  • Hello,

I got an update from Google Play this morning and now the Restore purchases message get stuck forcing me to close the game. At least before I got an error message but I could still play. Now it is blocking. I cannot complete pinata on adventure levels anymore or access the store...

    Can you check what's happening?

I already tried clearing the cache of the game and reboot the Phone...

    Thanks

  • @EA_Cath I also tried to clear data on Android app and also reinstalling the game. Still same issue with Restore purchases stuck on my Galaxy S22.

    Thanks!!!

It's been being investigated for several years now, I am not holding my breath!

@MortStella Thanks. The issue now is that the loading flower when the game Restore purchases never ends and I can't access adventure or store anymore.

I know, this bug is nearly as old as the game itself. Every time they release an update it gets better for some players but worse for others. There is no rhyme or reason with it.

It's been reported to EA hundreds of times but they either make out it's a new thing they've never heard of and give you lots of advice about resetting your device etc when the problem lies with them, or they fob you off with it's being investigated.

Unfortunately as I said don't hold your breath for a fix!

  • In my case, I can use the following method to temporarily bypass the pop-up window. See if this can help you. I'm using Android phone.

    1. Force close the game. Clear the cache of the game. Shut down any internet connection, include WiFi and data.

    2. Enter the game, and then the shop / Adventure levels while keeping the internet disconnected.

    3. After entered the shop / Adventure levels, a "Unable to complete purchase" window will popup, you can just click the button to close it.

    4. Now you can turn on the internet connection, and then buy items / play Adventure levels as normal.

    5. But once you leave the shop / Adventure levels, and you want to enter the shop / Adventure levels the second time, then the ever lasting "Restoring Purchases!" message will show up. You can do nothing and can only choose to force close the game.

Hece every time you want to enter the shop / Adventure levels, you have to repeat all of the above procedures one more time.

    Thanks I'll try this.

Anyway it's crazy that Pop Cap is not able to fix this annoying issue and it's getting worst instead.

No one should have to do all these procedure to just play their game

@kingfai78 Thanks, Indeed this worked but of course once I come back online I cannot unlock pinata on adventure.
@EA_Cath can you ask to fix this mess? Even if the failed to Restore message was still present it was largely better before this update...
  • Darn guess this was a 1 day fix, the method was working yesterday but today all of the tabs in the store remain empty for me and if I leave / re enter store I get stuck on restoring purchases.

Hopefully EA will fix it soon.

The method still works today in my phone. Please be reminded that for the case of entering the shop, after the step of re-connectinng to the Internet, the items in the shop will not show up immediately, the tabs will remain empty. You have to wait around 1-3 minutes to let it becomes normal. You can test if the items in the shop have came back by tapping the top left corner "EARN" button to see if there are ads available or not. If the ads can be played, then it's normal again. You can just switch to another tab in shop, and you will see the items as normal.

Hey everyone, this issue is still being investigated. Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.
  • fwiw, I have this problem on my Samsung, but I don't if I play on my Windows laptop using eMu emulator.

Problem is, then I have to use the mouse which is not as easy or fast as using two fingers.

@ab5486195b9ae3f7 Playing on a 32" monitor with mouse is glorious I can't even play on my phone anymore due to being spoiled, it controls great with the mouse and runs at a solid 60fps (after enabling 60fps in Pvz2 settings).
