Whenever I am in the arena, usually about 1/2 way through the match, I hear a distinct “click” through the speakers and the sound immediately cuts out. All sounds in the game are then GONE until I restart. After the restart, things return to normal, sound wise that is, until I do another arena match, then it happens all over again.... getting really old restarting every time I want PVZ2 game sound.

@briguywoodI have the same problem. Even replaced my iPad. But it happened again. I have narrowed it down, though. The sound pops off for good when I have a bunch of shine vines on a bunch of tile turnips. Plant food creates a high-pitched “ton of coins” sound. Eventually, (not always the first time) this always cuts out my iPad speaker with a “pop” and I have to reboot the iPad. This happens consistently during the arena and sometimes in Penny’s Pursuit Zomboss levels. Even at lowest volume.
Thanks @Kelekane for sharing the details with the audio muting issue, if this is repeatable reliably I guess this should help EA devs to have it fixed, just not sure what level of priority is given to this bug so don't hold your breath.
I have the same problem in the Arena. Using an older iPad. Would appreciate any solutions
