Yuck. Why would you want this game to stick out like a sore thumb? Every other entry in the series that didn't use the 2009 logo as a basis has failed. Usually because 2020 PvZ3, Welcome to Zomburbia, Battle for Neighborville, and PvZ Match were bad games, but also because they were completely unrecognizable. The 2009 logo was completely iconic and there is a reason even for Garden Warfare, they continued to use it.
The current logo is bad, but it's not because it uses the 2009 logo as a base (like PvZ 2 which has a different art-style than the original. Does that game warrant an original logo because its different?) It's bad because it tries to incorporate that asymmetric PvZ 3 style when the original was very clean and simple. PopCap has always strugged to replicate Rich Werner's art-style because they refuse to rehire Rich.
Jeez dude, I don't think it has to be THAT deep... Also, this is not PopCap struggling on replicating Rich Werner's work or anything. They are just trying something new with each game they do.

Then I fail to see why the game needs a brand new logo. Does PvZ 2 warrant one? It's just the original game with a 2 beside it. But it does have a totally different art-style. Or Garden Warfare, because it's way more gritty and detailed. Does it warrant an original logo?
I don't want PvZ 3 to be a fish out of water and stick out, nor continue the history of bad PvZ reboots we've been going through.

I just don't see why this is such a big issue when it is usually a must for a new sequel that has a fresh new art-style to have it's logo match with that new art-style so that it doesn't confuse people into thinking that whole game also uses the same art-style as the original game in some way, which is what the OG poster is kinda talking about here.

... You still didn't answer my question. Why doesn't PvZ 2 get a new logo? Or Garden Warfare? Why does this game need a new logo (for the fifth time?)
