Pvz 3 Idea (Special Tiles)

Special tiles

an idea That I think would be good to add to pvz 3 would be special tiles that give an effect that can help or harm the plants and/or the zombies and they can either be there at the start of the level be created by plants and/or zombies or spawned during the level

Tiles that Benefit plants (Marked with a green colour)

  • Health tile: gives the plant extra health (25%)
  • Evolution tile: plants here automatically evolve into a random tier 2 form
  • Overdrive tile: plants here gain 1% faster attack speed every 12 seconds
  • Frost Wind Tile: push a zombie back 1 tile and chill it for 3 seconds every 30 seconds
  • Sun tile: gain 25 sun every 12 seconds
  • Rewind tile: all zombies here teleport back 1 tile every minute
  • Power tile: plants here deal more damage and deal small damage when attacked
  • Heal tile: plants here slowly heal over time (heal for 10 seconds every 25-30 seconds)
  • Wave tile: push all zombies here back by 1 tile every 45 seconds
  • Plasma tile: plants here deal splash damage (if a plant here does splash damage the splash range is increased.
  • Seed packet tile: a random seed packet recharges faster
  • Melon tile: launch a melon at 2 random zombies every 30 seconds
  • Butter tile:  butter a random zombie every 20 seconds
  • Shock tile: Stun the closest zombie in this lane for 1 second every 20 seconds
  • Hook tile: move a plant in this lane back 1 tile every 45 seconds
  • Snow tile: launches a snow pea at every zombie every 1 minute
  • Shield tile: plants here gain a root shield
  • Poison tile: plants next five attacks deal poison damage every 45 seconds
  • Hypno tile: when a zombie steps here they are hypnotized (One time use)
  • Tornado tile: pushes all zombies here and next door by three tiles and stun them for 10 seconds (One Time use)

Tiles That benefit Zombies (Purple colour)

these activate when a zombie steps on it

  • Undying tile: when a zombie steps here it gains the undying curse (when a zombie dies it respawns but is stunned for 5 seconds) (One time use)
  • deadly tile: zombies deal x3 damage (Cool down 30 seconds)
  • heal tile: zombies here heal over time (and can repair damaged armor like cones and buckets) (Cool down 25 seconds)
  • Health tile: zombies here gain 50% more health (Cool down 30 seconds)
  • Shield tile: zombies here gain a metal shield (Cool down 30 seconds)
  • Frost tile: chill all plants in this lane for 5 seconds (Cool down 30 seconds)
  • Speed tile: zombies here move and attack faster by 50% (Cool down 25 seconds)
  • Anchor tile: pulls the closest plant by 1 tile (Cool down 20 seconds)
  • Clone tile: create a copy of this zombie (Cool down 45 seconds)
  • Bucket tile: turns the zombie into a buckethead zombie
  • Screendoor tile: turns the zombie into a screendoor zombie
  • Grave tile: create a gravestone in a random lane (20 second cool down)
  • Skeleton tile: creates a pile of bones that turn into a skeleton tile (20 second cool down)
  • Cursed banner tile: gives a banner to a zombie that gives all other zombies 20% more health and all other zombies gain 30% movement speed but lowers this zombies speed  and health by 50% (1 minute cool down)
  • Invisible tile: zombies here turn invisible until they reach a plant (30 second cool down)
  • Teleport tile: teleport the zombie two tiles forward (25 second cool down)
  • Swap tile: makes a zombie switch lanes (15 second cool down)
  • Portal tile: when activated create a portal here and in a random spot (similar to portal combat in pvz 1)
  • wind tile: push all zombies 1 tile forward (30 second cool down)
  • Glitch tile: screen freezes for 10 seconds (30 second cool down)

Other tiles (Black colour)

  • Bomb tile: explodes when activated damaging plants and zombies in a 3x3 area (30 second cool down)
  • Flame tile: burns all plants and zombies in that lane dealing heavy damage (45 second cool down)
  • Flash bomb tile:  stuns all plants and zombies for 3 seconds (30 second cool down)
  • Supernova tile: all plants and zombies get pushed back by two tiles (45 second cool down)
  • meteor tile: launches 4 meteors dealing heavy damage wherever they land (30 second cool down)
  • Mystery tile: turns into a random tile
  • Vase tile: creates three random vases in a 3x3 area that break after 20 seconds (30 second cool down)
  • Time tile the game moves at x6 speed for 8 seconds (30 second cool down)
  • doom tile: a random plant and a random non-boss zombie immediately die (one time use)
