[Bug] HELP! I updated to IOS 11.0.1-0.2 and now I can't play anymore (crash bug)

I'm a loyal player to this game, please fix this bug.

I woke up a few days ago to find my Ipad had auto-updated to the new version. I got on it, and then got on PvZH nothing was wrong at first I was still able to do my morning routine on the game. Anyways I started watching ads for gems, then after maybe the 14th ad or so the game crashed. I figured it was a usual crash that the ads tend to cause, so I turned of the app and restarted it only to find the game crashed on the EA startup screen, restarted it again and it did the same thing, about the 3rd time I tried restarting it I was convinced it was a bug. I went on to the forums to find that others are having the same problem. 

PLEASE fix this bug soon I'm a loyal player and I don't want to miss out on this weekly event, let alone I don't want to miss out on the game. 

EDIT- PvZ Heroes fails to launch even after updating to IOS 11.0.2

EDIT- At the time of making this edit I was able to restore my progress after deleting because I had my Facebook linked to my profile, However I will state these following facts I've learned from the others In this thread:

- Players who have linked there profiles to Facebook or EA: You can safely delete and reinstall the game without losing your progress.

- Players who have not/do not know if they have linked there profiles: At the time there is not much I can tell you except for the fact that you will lose progress if you haven't linked your account and you delete your game BUT you never know when EA will patch this bug so I wouldn't be to quick to delete my game if I were you. 

EA hasn't yet posted anything in this thread but hopefully they can fix this bug or at least tell us whether they are aware of it. Until then, this post is open for an official solution or more helpful information for those who don't know how to tell if there EA or Facebook accounts are linked to there PvZ Heroes account, or those who haven't linked there accounts.

    Try to update your iOS to 11.0.2, it works for me.

    11.0.2 didn’t work for me. iPhone se.

    When my game crashed, I reinstalled it and it worked for me.

    Still doesn't work for me after updating to IOS 11.0.2.

    Uninstalling it and reinstalling it isn't 'fixing it" you're essentially losing your progress.

    I have exactly the same problem, just my crash happened while in single player, not an ad. I updated as well. Seemed fine until it crashed, now the app won’t even get past the load screen. Ive tried restarting the app, turning the iPhone SE off and on, and closing all other apps... nothing works.

    The same thing has happened to me too, right before the apparent Colossal Fossils update. PopCap, please fix this bug.

    Is there a way to tell whether an EA account is linked to the in-game account? Scared to delete and reinstall without knowing...

    I tried something known as "Offloading" the app last night, basically deleting the app but not the data or progress. After successfully doing it on other games i tried it on PvZ Heroes, but sadly it didn't fix the bug, PvZH still crashed at the start up screen as usual. Since Offloading the app doesn't work I'm going to have to draw the conclusion that Deleting & Reinstalling wont work either (because you're doing the same thing aside from the fact that you're deleting all your progress and data). I'm pretty sure this is an incompatibility glitch between PvZ Heroes and IOS 11, and it's entirely up to the developers OR Apple to fix. I don't know any way to check if your EA account is linked to PvZ Heroes, but even then I wouldn't Delete and Reinstall there is just to much to risk. If I were you I would wait until the issue is resolved but who knows how long that will take.

    If your account is connected to Facebook or EA, then you dont loose your progress, it stays the same as before reinstalling. Without connection you will loose progress. I tested it and its working. I have iPhone with iOS and for test purposes I installed the game on Samsung  with Android and even then all my progress and my cards were restored, even the game platforms were different.

    Offloadong the app is preventing now my data to be lost forever... anyway there’s still some bug that prevents the app from working with the new iOs.

    This needs to be fixed by EA which should be at least say something like “we’re well aware of the issue and working on it”.

    For iphone users you can double secure your game data even if not synced before, by doing an encrypted backup of your phone efore doing any reinstall/delete/further update.
