cant play the game.

ive been a diehard fan since gw2 dropped on the xbox one and got it on my pc recently.

every time i try to open the game, it says something about javelin anticheat, then reopens the ea launcher, ive searched for any sort of help and it all says things about deleting "cryptbase.dll" which doesnt do anything, so i just re-added it again. I can't get it to work at all. This is very irritating.

In that case i'm not sure. i had the same issue as you and deleting cryptbase and game_data_dir solved it. The game will not launch if you have cryptbase so don't readd it

no, im playing off of the EA app, not steam.

are you playing through steam? try searching "edit environment variables for your account" on windows, then delete GAME_DATA_DIR if it's there, then try reopening the game
