Double Time got a speed nerf from 2.0 to 1.5 but the ability is called Double Time and with this nerf Double Time can't be called Double Time due to it giving a 1.5 speed boost instead of a 2.0 speed boost this makes the ability name somewhat misleading.
Maybe it should be called something like Speed Pad or something? Although, I don’t think Double Time necessarily means double speed.
I don’t really know to be honest. Perhaps it is because the Double Time overclocks allies - making them work overtime by giving them a speed boost - and getting the allies to the objective or into the fight faster.
I play Apex Legends and a character called Bangalore is having ability double time but it gives only a 30% speed boost. But I don't think Engineer needed a nerf for double time.
Since the general movement speed of everyone was increased the nerf to Double Time seemed reasonable so players weren't moving at uncontrollable speeds yet I don't think they reduced the speed buff from arcane enigma.
