Game freezes when I destroy a plant with Nibble

I'm guessing somebody's already flagged this bug as it's been around for ages but the title says it all. Game freezes when I destroy a plant with Nibble. It's been months so I hoped it would be fixed by now but it's incredibly irritating to the point where I can't use that card anymore. It seems as though it happens with more plants than before.
