Garden Warfare Game Crash

Someone mentioned recently that disabling Origin In Game solved it for them.

Right click on the game from Origin

Game Properties

Tick "Disabled Origin In Game"

The Shift+F1 will be disabled and you cannot join your friends games using it.  However you should be able to still join games if you minimize and use your Origins Friends list there I believe.

Let me know... curious if this actually does fix the DX Removed error.

hey, thanks for your fast replie! The good news is, i always come in the loading screen, the bad news: they game still crashes!

Edit: It still says DirectXerror in the desktop

Latest nVidia drivers?  Maybe even Betas.

Sorry ☹️  I seen some pretty beefy desktop GPUs get this error too... not sure what is going on.

There should be a few threads on the front page where I threw a bunch of stuff against the wall.. not much if any stuck I don't think ☹️

Game and Origin as admin.  Go to the PvZ .exe, Properties, Compatibility, Run as Admin

Try reinstalling DX from the __installer folder

Reset Global 3D preferences from nVidia Control Panel  (if you set it up to force it to use the 540m it'll probably revert that so you'd have to reset it).

Make sure you don't have any other overlay programs I guess like Afterburner's RiviaTuner or Fraps.

Maybe even try a clean boot.

Okay i tried all your Ideas aaaaaaaaaaand... Nothing ☹️ :D But thanks for your help! Do u think they will make an Update to fix this? It's a well known problem i have seen!

Maybe try changing the framelimiter from 60 to 30?

I don't know for sure if a patch will resolve this or not.  They are aware of it though because quite a few people have reported this issue since release.

Oddly the framelimiter is the only thing I've suggested that had positive feedback.. some people said it let it play for longer sessions (upto an hour) but the error would come back, others said it straight up removed the error and even more said it didn't have any affect ☹️  Sorry I think you tapped me out of ideas, especially if you read through the other threads with this error.

Afterburner is a tool you can use to control the fan profile and clocks (mhz) of your GPU.

Core Voltage - (Leave that alone)

Core Clock  (probably scaled to shader)

Shader Clock  (probably scaled to Core)

Memory Clock

Those could be changed/lowered.  That is what he's talking about.  I would guess he lowered them by 50mhz ~ 100mhz.  (I use the tool for the opposite.. trying to ruin my 480's so I can justify buying something new :P )

Don't use the RiviaTuner tools that come with it.  They are for putting an overlay on the screen to show things like GPU temp, GPU load, FPS, you name it.  It's a nice tool but has issues with Origin In Game not to mention it wouldn't be a good idea to throw a nother variable in there when it isn't working right in the first place.

Don't use it to overclock though.  Laptops and overclocking don't go well together.  I have an A6 laptop that I pretty much ruined by overvolting.

I happened to get an error that basically said that they game is getting hung up in the loading screen, and to fix it is an issue that needs to be addressed by the game creators I did a compatibility check and i have all requirements except memory ram, i only have 60 mb instead of 256. That by itself should not cause these same problems that everyone else is getting. it should run sluggish at best. That brings me to another point, they dont give you the option to lower the resolution or well any options to modify the game play. So i dont think anynone is really going to find a workiing fix unless they can fix these loading screen hang up error.

Your comment isn't at all clear.  No proper Add-on video circuit board has ever offered "60 MB" of VRAM.  Ever since Dx9 became standard, 64 MBs was the very least that a real, discrete GPU has had attached (since Dx10, 512 MBs and upward are standard).  This game cannot run correctly on any IGPs, such as those from Intel:

I was just tagging on to the guy above me that made the post first . I have all the reqirements that the game requires except the video card has only 60 mb on ram insted of the 256. I didnt repost all the computer stats since the other guy did already.  My only real question is why that would not be enough to at least run laggy. the other question was whether you could tone down the graphics on the game to run in a lower resolution to possibly run a little better or not.
