Is the future dummy worth 500,000?

Happy Sunday to you all 🙂

Struggling to make a decision about this before Rux items change, googled.  searched

but can find info/anything that helps much so thought Id ask you guys 😃

Half a mill is a considerable amount of coins (just got internet back... so not been saving)
All star isn't one of my favourite classes.. but neither is he my worst.

So will I buy future dummy (who knows when we get the chance again) or nope its not worth it...

save my pennies for something I really want?
I am leaning to the latter choice atm.

Thanku 😃

  • This is one that can be seen as an upgrade or a downgrade depending on how you play.  Most people lean towards the latter. I greatly prefer having two shields, so I don't use it.

But i do know some players who use it successfully.  When placed in a base soon before things get hectic and especially before the timer goes off, it will often produce some vanquishes.  A lot of plants seem to forget that the thing can explode, so another use is to drop in a place where plants will use it for cvoer, and then shoot it when they do so.

Not worth it. I rarely get any vanquishes with it.

Vampweed and dark garlic drone at the top of my head are the only special ability that I would buy that would give an advantage in the game.

On my second account, I think the only ones I'd grind up the coins for are vampweed and dark bean.

Placement hidden along where plants will walk and less for team cover. Either force enemies into walking into it as the timer begins to end with suppression or shoot it to cause early detonation. This is great against husk hopping corns or chili bean peas as they may jump into the area while spamming their attacks. Personally, like this more than the decoy, but the utility in choke points is a little lacking.

Thanku guys... now I have more to base the decision on...
lol its like I'm considering buying an important thing or summat 😃

Yep have vampweed, got in early in my Pvz career... but have been waiting for the dark garlic drone.
But oh... the dark bean bomb?? I don't have it and tend to favour the sombrero... is the dark bean better?

Anyways, late here so I shall ponder some more...and decide in the morning

but might give it a miss....and wait for other goodies.

Rux is apparently expanding with his relocation, so maybe there wont be the same wait as there has been for things to be offered again.

    Thanku again guys,
    Nite nite 😪

  • LOL thanku @Gormey for your straightforward/nae messing answer 😃

Nope, didn't buy it in the end decided Id save pennies for other stuff.

Today Rux is offering me the Iron Maiden... for half a million... 😮
A bit steep I feel for an ability that drops out sticker  packs...

  • If your using an all star against a pesky chomper with a health upgrade it can be useful.  Between the future dummy and punt it will deal enough damage to vanquish them.

They're situational for sure. You can have 2 up at once but the cooldown means you can only place 1 at a time. They're much better against AI opponents, especially the melee ones, as they tend to beat on them and then are vanquished when they explode. Players will usually find them less of an issue though.

If your budget is tight, you can skip them. If you're ok on cash and/or you're like me and must have all the things, go ahead and grab it.
