Sorry to hear that your progress seems to have been reset.
As progress is stored on the EA account level, this issue usually happens when you're signed into a different EA account. If you haven't already, could you please double-check that the account you're currently signed into is the correct one that you used previously?
Unfortunately, we are unable to directly support account-related issues here on the forums as we can't discuss account details. If the problem persists and you're playing PvZ 3, you'll want to reach out our in-game support by navigating to Settings > Help. Otherwise, please contact our support team by creating a case and the team there will work with you to investigate. It might be worth it to have your player ID handy.
