Offline but appearing online [PS4]

The Globe in the Backyard isn't the most reliable feature; it often fails to properly list Friends who are actually online and I have also noticed that it occasionally lists Players who have gone offline.

I'm not certain exactly what the Globe is referencing for its display but I imagine that it's possible that it is using cached information fetched from PSN based on its often inaccurate behavior and since caching is less resource intensive it would make sense, considering the common server resource problems we see, to key from stored information rather than constantly check for "live" results. If it is using cached information for it's display then it would be common for it to be a little out-of-sync with who is or is not currently online and playing the game based on how much time is allowed to elapse before refreshing the display.
