[PC] EA app/Steam - PvZ GW2 Anticheat Error After Launch
i wanted to try a mod for the first time on gw2 and when i opened it it told me this, file:///C:/ProgramData/eaanticheat/Crashdumps/PACKER_62544437_2620.dmp so I checked and searched it on my web browser but it gave me a file with stuff like java script and random incomprehensible codes so i just thought sucks to suck for me, i quit and i will just give it to EA like nothing ever happened
@EA_Shepard I did almost everything I put text to show what i did and didnt do i checked all updates again and verified file integrity I've done the sfc scan multiple times. Im not sure what else to do ive spent like minimum 7 hours attempting to fix this max like 10. I really appreciate your help with this. Is there anything else I can do anyone else to talk to or see. Im attaching the latest version of the log and and a dxdiag i ran while the game opened. more help would be appreciated thank you so much. CHECK THE VERY BOTTOM I WROTE SOMETHING
Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Microsoft VC++ Link): After a little trouble done 3 times to make sure because i thought it was gonna be the issue I have done all these except windows troubleshooting tools because I didn't think any of them applied.
Delete Windows Temp Files: Done
First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
@Unify2456 Gotcha. I took a look at the file you attached and this is what I can see. Some of this may have changed since you saved it but good to double-check anyway.
The first thing I saw was your GPU drivers in the file were out of date. The date shows 06/10/2022 I would download GeForce Now and update them.
After reviewing the file, these are the errors I found from the logs of the DxDiag
1. **AppHangB1 involving explorer.exe**: - **Fault bucket**: 1752439523518253058 - This indicates that Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) is becoming unresponsive (hanging). 2. **RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 involving EpicWebHelper.exe**: - **Fault bucket**: 1691374340519482670 and type. - This suggests a potential memory leak in the Epic Games Launcher helper process. 3. **AppHangTransient involving ErrorReporter.exe**: - **Fault bucket**: Type 0. - **Version**: ErrorReporter.exe 13.207.0.5720. - The Error Reporter itself is experiencing transient hangs. 4. **BEX (Buffer Overflow Exception) involving NVIDIA Install Application**: - **Fault bucket**: 1774235783705505697 - **Versions**: setup.exe_NVIDIA Install Application 2.1002.418.0 and ntdll.dll 10.0.22621.3672. - This indicates a buffer overflow error occurring in the NVIDIA installer. 5. **AppHangB1 involving NVIDIA GeForce Experience.exe**: - **Fault bucket**: 1741841345247128735 and type 5, or type 0. - Indicates that the NVIDIA GeForce Experience application is hanging.
@EA_Shepard Hi so i actually did mess up and did not have my graphics drivers up to date but i have done that now and nothing has changed at all absolutely nothing does the exact same, all other games im playing work perfectly fine. I also did what you asked before or suggested double checked it was already set to that and i set the individual program too it as well in the nvidia control panel i have no idea what to do you need me to do another dxdiag or something just let me know.
@Unify2456 Thank you. Will take a look at the file but I can see that the system does have an Intel GPU as well as an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU. Typically a black screen like that indicates the system is trying to use the dedicated GPU, not the RTX GPU.
Try first changing the dedicated GPU and see if that works
Right-click on the desktop
Select NVIDIA Control Panel
Click Manage 3D Settings from the left menu
Under the Global Settings tab, click the drop-down menu for Preferred graphics processor
Select High-performance NVIDIA processor from the list
