@PAIGEROXMEIT moved your post over. Have you run through the steps outlined on this thread?
- @PCLICE的 it may caused by your EAgamepass
I actived the standard edition but gamepass make me download the year edition. - Definitely not. I'd pay for a limited time subscription to this lousy DRM? I should crack EA games one by one!
after 78 hours of playtime, I suddenly had this issue today starting up the game.
For me, deleting the license did not help, but reinstalling the game with english language instead of german solved it.

I have the same issue.
I have the same issue.
@ImmenseBeing genius! deleting C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License\71592.dlf works! How did you manage to figure it out?
Hello, the solution to this problem is as follows:
Because your Plants vs zombies were activated on Origin and cannot be used on EA, you need to delete the original license file, which is "C: \ ProgramData \ Electronic Arts \ EA Services \ License \ 71592. dlf". Delete the file and then download the game again to solve the problem.Specific steps:
1. Uninstall plant vs. zombies
2. Delete "C: \ ProgramData \ Electronic Arts \ EA Services \ License \ 71592. dlf", copy and paste the address into the file manager to open the path.
3. Download and install Plant vs. Zombies again
