Plants vs heroes gripe. Also why EA ruins things.

Ok I love this game but it seems like a lot of people on the plant side have op cards such as grave buster and berry blast. Or the infamous espresso fiesta which honestly should be a legendary as it's pretty much a wrap if you get a card that has 5 or higher. I have some pretty good cards but it seems some heros need legendary or rare to make a difference. You can only do so much with a decent roll of cards and good placement.

some times those annoying berry blasts and debuffs for health and attk just kill you. Not to mention the annoying freeze.

it just seems like I don't have enough high end cards to seal the deal and cause of that I get screwed over cause of one card that could have helped. Also the fact plants get team up is very helpful. And the card that can turn 6 health nuts into attacking units is pretty op cause if you get a roll of cards that are all 6 high cards they pretty much just strip you with low end cards team up and a lucky buff. My ocean deck I hardly loose but I shouldn't have to have all high end cards for so,e heros to be useful. Really kind of  stupid. Needs more ballencing between heros. Let pop cap do more of balencing as honestly EA shows us with glitches in games like tsto after how long it's been out and how they really nerfed the flame thrower unit and machine gun juggernaut unit in BF1  thaat they clearly can't be trusted. How do you get shot the same amount of rounds with the juggernaut machine gun unit in bf as you would by being a reg soldier. They pretty much just made that character in fun to play. If anything they should have gave it 5% more health it had in the beta but made the accuracy at long range more inaccurate. Meaning you have all this armor on and you firing this heavy gun so you're accuracy will be garbage pretty much but at close medium to close range you will be feared. Dam. EA do I have to hold you're hand for you.

Uhhh,,,,i don't find it necessary to have high end cards to win at all....... I am beating decks with infinitely more legends (I have several rare or below decks that have 60% or 70% winrates, even vs ranks 30+).

I think it is necessary to think about your win conditions, which a LOT of card players fail to realize when they build a deck. Most players fall into the trap of "o i think this card is good, o that one is good, let me put that in" rather than having a really clear strategy on how to achieve victory. Here are some simple tests when deck building

    1. Q: Do you know when your deck is the strongest?

A: when you build your deck, are you looking for a balanced deck, where at each point of the game (early, mid, late), you will have the same amount of power on the board, and you whittle your opponent down slowly? Are you looking for an aggressive opening, and then snowball in the mid game in order to avoid a late game? Are you looking to just control and clear the board early game, build a small board mid game, and then annihilate your opponent in the late game? These are very important in deck building

    2. Q: Which cards are you looking for in your starting hand vs which zombies/plants?

A: You have to evaluate different situations. A LOT of this comes from experimenting, facing different plants/zombies will call for different starting hands. This doesn't mean specific cards, but specific things you look to do

    3. Q: Which cards are my winners, and when I should place them?

A: You need to consider the situations really carefully when you put these cards in. For example, a gravestone, 5 brains, do I play super phat beets, things like that.

There are a lot of questions that are necessary to build a good deck and play well.

I'm not sure if this rambling rant contributes any value to the discussion. The tangent into BF1 seems to border on incoherence. But I'll try to say something productive here rather than just belittle the OP.

A few things I have noticed about this game while grinding up through the ranks (currently Diamond)

    1) Zombies have better card draw. Kite Zombies, Imp Commanders and bonus attacks all combine to make powerful card draw engines that Plants cannot replicate. Plants can counter them, however because

    2) Plants have access to some amazing removal. Berry blast, grave buster, squash, whack a zombie, and much much more can be used to remove key tech pieces or powerful threats. However, to use these effectively the player must realize that

    3) Not all heroes are equal. Solar Flare decks are an order of magnitude better than Citron decks. Rustbelt has the same relation to Brain Freeze. Each color has their strengths and weaknesses. Understanding which colors are strong together is one of the first keys to victory.
