Plants vs zombie garden warfare update problem

I bought the game today and it's saying there is an update that is needed. However, it keeps popping up saying 'there are no items available for purchase at this time'. Anyone know what's going on? got one very disappointed younger brother who has been waiting all week to play this game

    What version of the game do you have, Digital download or disk version? What region are you in?

    I just purchased the game today(15 Jan) brand new for the Xbox 360 and when I first put the disk in it said there was an update so I downloaded it. It restarted the game and now I get into the menu and it says there is an update. I hit yes to start the update and it tells me there is nothing to purchase.

    any news on this please as I have a very unhappy son who purchased this for download for his birthday and now can't play it!
