Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare

I have this problem too.  Just purchased the DDX version of PVZ: Garden Warfare.  It fails to launch.  Gives me the PVZ:Garden Warfare has stopped working. 

Now it won't even attempt to launch.  When trying to launch the game and keeping an eye on the task manager, I see a service entitled Activation UI (32 bit) that pops up for a split second and then goes away.  Please, EA, what's going on with your games?  I've tried deleting and redownloading/installing and that doesn't do the trick.
