Hey all, you are correct that this is in fact a PSN-related issue rather than a game issue.
Can you ensure that the account you are logged in on is the one that owns the game and the account with the active PS+ membership is set as the system primary?
Restoring licenses can also help: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/games/restore-licences-playstation/If nothing works then, please speak with PSN support who will be able to advise you further.
