That's another reason I'm holding out.  Although it has not happened to me yet, there are WAY too many reports of people not receiving the various upgrades after paying for them on PS4.  Sony blames EA and EA blames Sony.  You need to try to get a refund from Sony, which I understand will take a bit of work.  Good luck!

Bud you have to go into the vending machine where you buy card packs then press triangle to open the "gift". These 10 dollar packs give 3 separate characters, a new ability, 100 yellow stars and 50 rainbow stars with one of the three characters being a legendary. If you have all of the characters then don't buy the packs. It's not really a big deal, but the abilities themselves are actually pretty solid.

I said nothing came up for me after buying the packs from the store together. The items aren't visible in the sticker shop.

And the process of getting a refund from Sony is way beyond my understanding.

Sonic, try shutting down your console, then restarting it (as well as obviously the game).

Since you showed me the link, I went through it, answered what need to be asked, and I'm hoping that in 72 hours time, I get an answer to my problem.

I'm telling you, it's still not visible in the stickershop. It's not an oversight.

I bought the packs direct from the PS Store, not by going there via the GW2 mailbox, because I wanted to buy the upgrades together as a bundle.

Does anyone know if these skills can only be obtained by buying these packages or can be obtained in another way in the future in the game (With Rux for example)?

I received a response from PlayStation Australia about the issue I'm having with the two upgrades for GW2. It'll hopefully be sorted out within the next 24 hours (at the time of this post).

For now they are exclusive to the packs. There is a small chance that it will appear in the future for sale from RUX. But, I expect that will be a very long time. Imagine how you would feel if you spent $20 on two abilities only to have RUX bring them a few months later. That would basically be theft on EA's part. Again, there is a chance but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Hopefully, they wouldn't be dumb enough to make them paid exclusives. They've already started digging themselves into a hole, upgrading their shovel wouldn't help anything. 

I have no problems with them trying to make revenue for the game as long as eventually rux will sell them to us for coins.  

All games have pretty much migrated to micro transactions to fund future and current projects its business, just don't leave out the ones 

that have been there the entire time.  I have 3 accounts with this game and will not pay out that price lol

I'm not buying them since I have all the character and for $20 I can get a new game for the whole family.

I was playing this weekend, I never see anyone using it or get killed by it. I guess parents agree this's not a worthy way to spend their precious money.

I guess it will take a year before this will be sold by Rux (until the one bought it forget about how they get it).

^---I think the 10 dollar price is totally worth it if:

A) What people pay for the product actually gives them the product (which people are complaining that the money does not do).

and

B) People do not have the characters in the pack.
