I would also like 2016 hats. As I understand it there will be a period at the end of the event to buy packs for hats you may have missed. If that is the case perhaps the packs will hold 2016 items in addition to missed 2017 items. Hopefully, Popcap already thought of that and we just have to wait.

On the GW facebook group someone linked a tweet from Justin Wiebe that last year's Halloween items will be available in packs in the store. So those missing some/all of last year's hats will be able to snag them!
Justin confirmed on twitter as well. Usually the pack available after the event is finished.
Oh that's good news!! Now, what type of pack will those be in? A special Lawn of Doom pack or just the normal ones? Also, if it is the special packs, do they come only after the event is over?

Yes to both questions!
So they are special packs and end of event. Was really hoping they'd go ahead and release the packs for the 2016 stuff during th event.
