Re: How long did it take for you?

It took me about a year and even then, I still think im only slightly above average in terms of skill.

Its all about aiming.  My suggestion to get good is to avoid using the zoom for aiming.

Once you get the hang of shooting without the aid of zooming, you will be a Ninja with deadly precision.

Keep practicing and playing.

What is your favourite character/ characters if you want to grab alot of kills?

  • Great post! Let me ask a few questions. What is your aim assist set on? I found having it on high will actually inhibit you for many characters. Do you adjust your aim speeds, or do you stick to one for everyone? Generally I keep it midway or a little above for most characters unless I’m using camo cactus, scientist, or chompers. Then it’s much higher. When I first picked up Garden warfare 1 I died more time than I vanquished. So I started using engineers and just aimed for peoples feet because the splash damage was forgiven to my aim. Gradually I worked my way up building confidence along the way. After a while I was landing the critical hits and other characters became a breeze. I highly recommend finding a splash damage character your comfortable with and aim for the feet or even ground below them. I hope this works and just remember, it’s not going to happen in a day. Good luck!

My aim sensitive was set to around 60%.
Im trying Toxic Pea atm but I feel his shots are so slow that the enemy has moved before they get a chanse to land.

And most of the time the Zombieteam has SO SO much higer kills that im starting to think that maybe the Zombies are alot more offensive and Plants are more defensive.

Feels like im being sh*itmixed every fight :P

  • My favorite player depends on the situation.  I usually play to win and not so much on individual statistics and kills.  Im more like a team player going for the win.

If the team lacks the offensive attack to capture the objective, i play as Corn or Peashooter, engineer and mech to clear out the space or to get as much multiple kills.

But if there is one character that i absolutely love, it is Stuffy Flower.  When played correctly, she can be deadly and can heal and do a swift revive.  I love playing as Flower with all her challenges being soft in terms how much damage she takes, yet can heal herself and at the same time, can absolutely wreck just about anyone.  On the zombie side, its the engineer welder and scientist paleo.

  • Hmmm... I would suggest plasma pea then. Try his charged shot out and aim for groups. Honestly pick any character and just stick with them for a while or even play some private games against AI till you get your timing down. It kind of sounds like your attacking head on and they can expect your shots with the toxic pea. It may take a little more time but try flanking or sticking to the edges of a map. Also elevation can make a world of difference. Even if it’s a single story house or building.
