There is very little you can actually do regarding this issue. You see, the Pc community is in drastic decline since its initial release and all there problems and bugs just aggravated the already delicate community. My advice is to switch servers (regions), despite the ping, and search for a decent match. Don't worry about the lag, you'll face it anyway.

I thought something was wrong at my end. I kept trying and trying and saw that after a looooooong wait sometimes I got one or two player into a room. Changing regions doesn't help much either.
I usually don't buy online multiplayer games but decided to buy this one since I liked the first game too. What a waste of money... The game is not even 2 months old! It can be considered as a total flop then. I did some solo matches but it's quite boring. I'd rather play a story based shooter then.
Weird cause I played GW1 recently and all the rooms where extremely full, long after release. Shame. Last time I buy a game like this. :/
@Licenturion I'd suggest you play Turf Takeover & Team Vanquish for now... these two modes seem to always ensure you a full team game. Regarding GW1, yes, it is a better game and there is still an active community there.
