Hi, same Problem here.
reaching out to your support comes with a Problem:
1. I cant select the right platform. (there is ony steam and not your EA-Launcher
2. Even if I select steam, there are no channes available.
Some more Info:
Had no Problems on the old Origin launcher. I Played almost 22 hours there.
My Idea of the Problem is that PvZ still wants to connect to your Orign-Servers. Therfore it can't confirm the key, because there is no more Orign.
I can only show you German screenshots. They always call it an Orign-Account and also state that I am offline, which is 100% not the case.
Because of that we might need a Update of the Key confirmation.
@NJ_Kai_19Same problem for me too. Your diagnosis makes sense. Pretty cool to know I am not the only one who decided to play this game today.

- ApprovedAnonymous2 years ago@EA_Illium: I've reached out to support at least 6 times over 2 weeks, the only method of communication allowed me was by email. I was given a case number for my problem with PvZ-GameOfTheYear, but each time someone different answers my update to the case, they push the "Print the S.O.S." button and then call me "UNKNOWN".
There is no option for CHAT that the latest email from EA-Help sent me instructions on. The fact that I'm running Win10 on a desktop PC for PvZ-GOTY and none of those are an option evidently means I'm S.O.L. because EA did not properly support the transfer of Origin based connections to the new APP that I was forced to use.
I ordered an earlier version on a disc from Amazon and installed it. It's run fine so far and even remembered my progress from the last time I played, which has ALWAYs been offline.
I'm going to quit EA, and uninstall ALL of their connections to my PC. My Super Uninstaller program has identified a whole bunch of registry entries that EA set up.
