Re: pvz not running smooth at all

I think I might have an idea.

It might be using your IGP instead of your dGPU.

((replace BF:H with PvZ in your mind when looking))

nVidia Control Panel ->  3D Settings -> Program Settings -> Add PvZ -> set to high processor

You have an HD4600 in ur i7... 30fps is pretty darn good if that is what is happening (and fits with other reports I've seen).  I'm happy you posted your FPS because now i know 4400, 4600, and 5000 all can run this game mildly playable.  If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't have known to tell others.

  • stupid of me, i forgot about that..

it wasnt on the list in the nvidia control panel, and when i added it had the onboard card selected as standard. so i think that might have been the problem.

however.. when i start it with the powerfull GPU selected it keeps crashing on startup..

  • now my nvidia gpu isnt working at all xD i'll delete the driver and reinstall them.

thnx for the fast response btw!

  • alright, things didn't really work out, laptop got messed up, wasn't able to install any drivers anymore because my GPU was undetectable. had to reset my entire laptop.

now i still can't play pvz decently, and when i select my nvidia gpu it's crashing. i'd rather not try and install new drivers again because i'm afraid i'll mess it up again. any other ideas?

    thnx!
