Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad balance decision?
Also, where did you find out that it’ll cost 300 rainbow stars?

Hey, the price is mentioned by Producer Shaun Laker in the devstream around this time. I will note that he says "about 300 Rainbow Stars".
Also, I've seen Youtubers speak about this cost on their channel when they were reacting to this livestream. Also, if this is any interest to you, the developers are supposed to do another livestream next week sometime. They may speak more about this legendary upgrade. 🤞
- @EA_David I hope it stays in the shop permanently, there's no reason for Popcap to do it otherwise.
As @shurikeninja points out I too hope that once it moves to the store it's always available for purchase. New players will be joining all the time and they shouldn't miss out on these upgrades as even if they won't all be used, they are some of the more exciting additions to the game.
I'd rather have them unlockable through coins or something other than rainbow stars, but at least they're not extremely expensive at 300 rainbow stars.

By the way, the wording he used seemed to imply that it’ll be available PERMANENTLY with Rux, don’t you guys think?
He just said “it’ll be available with Rux thereafter”; he didn’t say “it’ll be available with Rux for the whole month after that before getting removed”

That would be so much better for those players who join the game later or that can't afford the upgrade at the time - if this is correct, so fingers crossed that you're correct! 🤞
