- @Fork_x_Spoon I like the changes made to snipers a lot, but I would also love to see a legendary upgrade that makes them deal less damage and only let them zoom in a bit, but removes the black overlay and increases the close range damage a bit.

I uninstalled OW for many reasons and the game isn't exactly king of the world as it was either. It's been handled badly, Blizzard has changed Mercy and Symmetra so much that it reminds me of WoW and reinforces why I've never understood the love that company has, they couldn't balance a check book, much less a competitive online shooter. BfN DOES feel like OW in some ways, the snipers especially feel like Widowmaker. I don't mind Snipers being like they used to be in GW1 and GW2 or like in BfN with the charge shots, but if they brought variants back, I'd say they'd have to return to the GW style or that last Zen Cactus shot is REALLY going to hurt.
The Engineer definitely reminds me of Junkrat and both characters are just random spammers, which is likely why I don't like BfN engineer all that much. I pretty much agree with your list @TheSprinter85 as I was 235 or so in OW before I left that toxic cesspool for good.
@stukapookahit a lot of points I have to agree on. GW2 came out just before OW and I've always preferred it, I had I think 300 hours in OW (I can't check as I uninstalled all acti-zard products), and over 2400 in GW2. I prefer Paladins and TF2 over OW, and the GW games even more.
- @Fork_x_Spoon I like it.
@Iron_Guard8thank you, when overwatch released I felt like I was taking crazy pills as everyone was praising that shallow * with its boring maps, lore, and unbalanced lazy characters and acted like it was some kind of revoultion for the industry when its literally a glorified reskin of another game (the devs even admit this) and every time I see bfn reference it I die a little inside.
Blizzard devs poured gasoline on the fire with all their crappy balancing changes and pandering to stay relevant (hey balancing is actual garbage but soldier is gay so play our game).
Say what you will about 2018 battle royale and the fortnite trend but I'm glad they finally deleted overwatch from relevance.- Iron_Guard85 years agoLegend
@stukapookaI hear you. In both GW games and BfN, we have 'Capture the taco stand' and 'capture the secret cabin'. In OW, it's 'capture point A'. I can barely tell OW maps apart without seeing specific things like Cherry Trees on Hanamura, in GW 1, 2 and BfN, all the maps have their own flavor, even if some are similar to each other, no one is going to mix Tourist Trap Island with Peachy District!
All these games share some similarities for sure, and some of the OW/BfN parallels are more blatant than others (engineer and Junkrat is a big one). I do like BfN more than OW, that's for sure. But I liked it better when the GW games stood out further from the pack.
- @Iron_Guard8 Yeah the maps really stood out from overwatch's bland future settings: like its the future but thats about it, no interesting spins on classic areas and touring the world isnt special anymore in games( tf2 already did most of this stuff, even space), I mean we fought through time and space in gw2 which opened the doors for ideas of endless creativity for maps and its a shame bfn kinda took a step back in that regard, yet they're still unique at least in setting.
- @stukapooka Personally, I think the maps are one of gw2’s flaws. I like the maps in BfN and gw1 way more.
@benn1nat0rI respect your opinion and like gw1 maps the most (gw1 turf, gw2 non turf) but in my opinion bfn maps sucked absoulte balls in terms of design, verticality, and sense of scale

I like GW1's the most, and 2's a close second overall. Frontline Fighters in GW2 is one of the best maps I've seen ever. BfN's TT maps are a little less exciting to play on although my least favorite map is Time Park in GW2, way too easy to camp in certain modes.
BfN maps feel more 'normal' than the others as while the characters are more cartoony, the world is less so (just look at the cars and vans in the 3 games to see what I mean), and less exciting for me.
Edit: And while I don't hate pushing payloads, there's too many of them in BfN.
@Iron_Guard8I would put gw1 turf maps above 2's but 2's non turf maps are more enjoyable than gw1's non turf maps to me and my problem with bfn maps is the sense of scale and overall design, I mean destroy a drill that puts a flag in space or destroy the zombot, destroy the equivalent of a nuclear bomb, or just go on the moon and destroy a giant magnet facility.
- The non-Turf Takeover maps are trash; nearly half of them are ripped from PvE, the only new one is Time Park 2.0, Daisy Drive is slightly better Suburban Flats (if it was good to begin with), Rocky Flats is just one team camping the bridge, and Ruiny Ruins is "spawn rush losing team". They somehow made maps worse than those in Overwatch which is a very low bar to jump over for the franchise that made a cactus become a sniper with potato explosives and garlic that flies and attacks you. Like Paris is a bar laying on the ground and Oozevoir just tripped over it.
@Fork_x_SpoonYeah I think bfn non turf maps are literally the worst in the series because I feel like I'm playing some kind of hilariously bad call of duty map in terms of the design and the spawns are actual garbage that can put you in a crowd of enemies.
