Sorry,  but this is not the answer I would expect... 

However,  I am going to try this,  since ea apparently REALLY needs my info... 

What you can do,  is build an update,  so that this game works with the info that has already been set in the ps4 account at Sony. 

@Mrzed75 In order to play an EA game you will need an EA account. It is the same for almost any game which has an online element. 

If that is the issue, could you explain to me, why is my older son (13) able to play this game? While the younger one (10) isn't?

@Mrzed75 Your older son may have made an EA account. 

In my case I have child that can't play GW2 and NFS because he is too young. I've setting up parental controls in PS4 to allow access (highest level) for his account. But GW2 and NFS says that he is too young anyway. Do I need extra setting in my EA account? Where I can find it? Thanks.

@Quinn_Mallory If your child is underage then they will not be only be able to play the offline aspects of the games.

this game is rated PEGI 7 ..so why a kid age of 8 can't play this game ??

@sandeast A child on an underage account will only be able to play the offline sections of the games, you will need to ensure that you have set up the subaccount correctly. 

Even if your child is 12 years old and has all the permissions he cannot play this game. It's frustating. Last EA game I bought for sure. 

How do I access the offline options of the game?  There is a big screen that says I can't play the game because user is too young or does not have the right permissons.  Basically, I wish I hadn't purchase this game, because the solution is non-solution.  I don't want my son to have unrestricted access to play station network.  For a company as big and rich as EA.  You would think you make the investment to make sure that the game is as accessible as possible.  Instead of create barriers that make it impossible for my child to play the game!

I am having the same issue. I am unable to get my children (who are in a family group) to be able to have access to this game. Each time they try a pop-up advises "CONNECTING. You are too young or don't have the correct permissions to access online features". VERY FRUSTRATING. Here's what I know.

A EA login is required to play this game. As an adult, I can login and play this game just fine. It seems that no junior members of a family managed group can play.

1. My son is set up to be as "Age Level 7 - 12 years +". No Success, same message.

2. I changed my son to "allowed", ie. no age limit. No Success, same message.

3. I enabled "Temporarily Disable PS4 System Restrictions" under the family management menu. No Success, same message.

I suspect the software is trying to access the EA login menu but cannot. You never get the option to login if you are a non admin family member.

If I add a new user, not under family management I able able for them to play fine. 

In summary, as far as I can tell, this game does not work for any Junior PS4 user who is under family management. VERY FRUSTRATING. I would like to be proved to be wrong please help.

AS far as I know, no multiplayer features can be accessed by an account set to younger than age 13.  This is due to COPPA laws:

I checked the box for my game, and it's stated clearly on the back.  I certainly cannot advise you to change the child's age in their profile, but it's been known to have been done.

EA: Thank you so much for all the troubles. Only option for me to play NFS on PS4 is through my fathers account- which he does not really like to do.

We tried to edit my sub acc to his acc:

-We changed the age and it still won't work.

-We disabled persmissions on PS4, and still won't work

-We Googled this site for hours and hours - and no positive fix ANYWHERE!

- We will never ever ever ever buy a EA Game again.

Sorry to say @erikieran but if you are playing on an underage account then you will need to wait till the account ages up to an adult account in order to play many modes in EA games.

EA_Darko - I noticed your only response was to a young person who's under the appropriate age. Yet, there are many parents on this forum (I am one too) who just wants to be able to allow our children to play this game.

It's very frustrating that EA has no official response to any parent here as to why you are forcing your decision on us without giving us (parents) the ability to decide what's best for our children. I find the lack of response disrespectful, and your level of control you're trying to instill fascist.

So I'll ask again (like so many parents on this forum) - if I setup my child's account against a certain restriction, why is EA superseding my decision? I appreciate that you want to protect our children, but I would like a level of control over what you decide is best for my family. Please tell us how you are going to give us back control? You've not done so in years, I'm not hopeful you'll start now.

(P.S. I wonder if EA will perhaps add a little mustache to their logo in the future?)

Its amazing years in and people are still having the same problems. Like the poster ::

my 12 old is set up with a PSN sub a/c so he can use PS4 when I'm on PS5.

I managed to get the Origin a/c set up in the Origin app (not the browser)

His PvZ B4N works fine. As does non EA games like Fortnight, etc

His PvZ GW2 does not. It asks to approve the license agreement (view / accept / decline) 

When we click Accept we the above.

The PSN parental controls have been set to both level 11 (18+) and 'Allowed' (we monitor what he does). 

Yet still he cannot get into Gw2 on the sub a/c and needs to continue to use mine. Wasted a day on this and followed the thread examples.

Have others cracked this, is there something I'm missing as customer support were unable to resolve. Any links to video soluton?

and FYI - this CPP act thingy, we aren't all in the USA. such an act has no basis here and.... if it applied why are other games, fortnite, Battle for neighbourhood etc not affected. 

EA itself really needs to sort this with a clear definitive video. I'm raging at the amount of time I've wasted trying to fix it for my kid
