Rubberbanding GW2 Ps4
I have two Ps4's running side by side, (me and GF) and we do love this game. Some games such as team vanquish, turf takeover, Make us lag a little bit. It's kind of annoying we won't get to jump or...
I did check the first link.
I didn't see but are there any specific ports for GW2? Also. That port forwarding table has a lot of ports. Online I've seen mostly a smaller table of ports needed for the Ps4. Just kind of curious if you'd know why this is.
Lastly, I've heard that port forwarding is not necessary if you have enabled UPnP. I've tried both. But wanted to hear your input.
Do you have a ps4, and do you have some lag when playing turf takeover on Gw2?
I'm not on PS4 myself. How were the games over the weekend, any improvement?
Have you ran a UO Trace yet from our connection article to see how your connection is reaching our servers? You'll be able to identify if there's a server it's hitting along the way which could be something out of your control that an ISP will need to clear up. It can happen due to weather in some cases.
Hi Blueberry thanks for all the assist!!
No, this weekend was worse. Maybe the worse yet. Quick shuttering every 10-25 seconds. And every so often, Real problems. I would be teleporting for couple seconds.
My connection stays around 50-60 Mbps download, 3-8 Mbps upload. And ping is around 30-100ms
Called my is[. They do not know. I might purchase a new modem to see if this would fix the issue.
I haven't run a trace yet. What does this do exactly? and what IP do I log into to test gw2?
Also, do you know if ports are necessary when UPnP is enabled? I keep hearing conflicting information on this.
Sorry for the delay, hoping to hear this weekend was a little better than last though. Opening up ports should help regardless of uPnP. If you're still having trouble, can you upload a UO Trace result to this post so we can take a look at how your connection is reaching our servers?
Thanks for ansering back, @EA_Blueberry gives me a little bit of confidence to try again.
I did get a computer borrowed to me so that I could run some tests, I will download the UO Trace and share results later.
I have some videos of what lag looks like in my screen, but I can't share them here, (.mov) file not supported as attachment. so heres' the links
Best way to define this lag, is tinny stutters every 10-30 seconds, and every 45-60 seconds a very long, noticeable gap with input delay.
I ran some tests with the computer, did 4 different speed services, and did two tests, one with two consoles off, the other with both consoles playing online.
Both seem pretty much the same.
80 mbps download, and 8mbps upload, ping ranges from 13 ms to 35 ms. I'm wondering if maybe every so often I'll get like a really big lag spike, like maybe for a fraction of a second I have 500 mili second delay, and that causes my lag?
Another thing that might be worth mentioning was when I was running the tests, lag did get worse when playing. So maybe someone technically inclined can interpret that better?
Lag was better this weekend, but still pretty bad. I'm really hoping I can fix this, because game isn't fun anymore, I used to be better at shooting and now I teleport badly. I know how this sounds, hahah but I'm serious. It really, really sucks.
I ordered a new modem from Amazon, maybe this helps. A "Citron GCN3550"
(P.s. it's actually Hitron modem, but I confusing the name to Citron and keep forgetting to correct myself, but I'm just gonna leave it because this is the only place where it would make sense not to correct it.)
Thanks for reaching out hope we can fix this.
