Setting for joypad gets partially reset each start, + cursor freezes often

At first i tried to play the game with mouse and keyboard. But each time i wanted to choose to set a button, the game froze. So i had to close it by alt f4 or else. When the cursor froze in the middle of the screen ingame, the only thing that helped was to choose the "repair function" of origin. Restarting the game did never help. It is not possible to actually play the game with mouse and keyboard at all. Even if i keep the defaults. I found out i was able to set buttons for the joypad. But each time i start the game, the setting for looking left or down gets reset. These problems are only happening with this game.

    That's an odd issue..

    Perhaps try repairing the game from Origin.

    Unplug all controllers.

    Now test KB+Mouse

    After unplugging and restart of computer, even repair did not unfroze the cursor. Tried two times. Then i plugged the controller in again, and next time the game started cursor worked. Ingame mouse and keyboard do not respond (up to the esc button, so i have to open the menu with controller). In the menu, mouse (if not frozen) and keyboard work.

    It would be of help to know the location of the button settings file. So i could write protect it after making the setting for joypad.
