Snapdragon seems kinda bad?

I feel like all the plant characters are overall really good, but the snapdragon just seems kinda bad? The fire damage seems really low and his dash's damage seems to not do damage a lot of the time. The blue fireball takes so damn long to go off too and I feel like it's useless unless you use it right in someones face so it actually lands.

Like, I really want to play him but I feel like he's very poop and I'm better off just playing the Chomper if I'm going to play a short range class.

  • Hey @EA_David Thanks for your reply! I personally love Snap Dragon exactly how he is and don’t think he needs any changes whatsoever. Appreciate the update and with those things now implemented, Snappy will be even more lethal than before! 🐉 🔥

@DeAtHaDDiCtiOn5  Snapdragon's come very far since his first release in this game, remember when Nightcap and Acorn were wisely used during Founder's edition and was quite OP, and Snapdragon was not commonly used, but now he gets seen a lot in games, along with Nightcap and Acorn, nice to see he's used a lot more and to see how far he has come since Founders. 🙂

  • @jamcast99 I agree that’s it’s unfortunate that the benefits aren’t more detrimental to an enemies health. I love the idea of slow-burn damage (similar to Toxic Citron in GW2 with its -2 damage every second or so, which in fact does do the damage and will vanquish an enemy) and is very effective in first-person shooters like PvZ.

The best example I can think of is the weapon Thorn in Destiny when it hits you, not only is your vision blurred but the slow health drain can kill you if you’re at low health. Maybe PopCap can look into this in the near future and make it cause actual damage to the enemy or have some other advantage in PvP.

  • @TheSprinter85 I was one of those players that never utilized Snap Dragon especially during the first weeks of release. Now is a whole different story. Acorn and Night Cap are seeing a ton of action at the moment but with today’s patch and balancing fixes get put into place, they’ll be a lot easier to hit and we should see a decline in use almost right away. With the ability to hop around like a bunny and being next to impossible to hit, both are absolutely dominant at the moment..until later today. 🙂
