Stupid XP bar keeps going down even though I get on everyday

I'm getting annoyed as  lately for some reason my xp bar keeps going down to 1.75 every time I get on. I get on every day and before this didn't happen but now it's happening all the time. I get on  every day to stop it from going down but now it looks like it doesn't matter. Someone else said that now you actually have to complete a challenge everyday whether you've got the xp bar full or not otherwise it will go down. I already have another 200 stars so that's why I don't do them. Apart from the fact that they are very very boring and counterproductive.

To be honest I really don't like this whole idea of it forcing you to do so. I get on to play turf takeover (the only sort of fun part right now of the game). I shouldn't have to first waste an hour trying to do those trivial challenges. They aren't fun and although some of them may be easy to do...they aren't fun!

I think they've made GW2 way too complicated. With all the characters being nerfed until they reach the diamond lvl, infinity mode, having to get to 2xp then maintain it, having to play 4 games to get enough money to buy one pack that has horrible items/legendary characters being non existent as far as I'm concerned.

I envy GW1 where I could just get on and play multiplayer and that was that. Why must all good things come to an end???

Anyone in the same boat?

  • A lot of the challenges can be done while playing the online multiplayer. I have competed many while playing turf takeover. I found also that if I didn't continue to do challenges the meter goes down. I try and complete at least one challenge each day to keep the meter up.

I find this quite bizarre in the extreme. When another person mentioned it prior I thought they must be wrong. Wasn't there a help caption that came up before that stated that all you need to do was log on each day to maintain your multiplier. Why on earth would PopCap change this by stealth and without notification, why go back on their word. They can't change anything else in the game arguing it all takes time and effort, and then when it suits them, they sneak this little beauty in hoping people will either not notice or be too apathetic to care or comment about it.

Sorry but I'm really starting to find the behaviour and attitude of the dev and publisher to be quite distasteful. They are grasping for new lows to get people to play their game constantly. Only problem is if they made it really fun and fair, people would play it anyway. If they dont start giving back to the fans, the people that have loyally supported them, then this game may well go the way of the dinoasaur.

That's exactly right. If it were fun they wouldn't even need to worry about it.  I doubt that something like this even occurred to them during GW1.
