Sunflower thoughts/ideas theorycrafting

After the latest update I think that maybe giving damage to the sunflower was the wrong way to go.  Maybe I'm in the minority but when I play Sunflower I play her so I can fast revive, heal with flower pots, and heal with her heal ability.  Sometimes I use her rooted beam to help defend a choke point but rarely do I do this because I usually die pretty quick.

I don't need my sunflower to put out the same DPS as a scientist nor do I really want to.  I don't think every class has to have a "mirror".  Idaly I would love to have seen the sunflower get more survivability, more maneuverability in terms of base movement speed, or even more health.  I would also like to see the beam (which is really only practical in OPS) replaced with something like a tall nut, damage boost for allies, or even and instant revive on a long cool down.  I know that last idea probably is OP but it's just an idea.  I would love to see pop cap move the sunflower to a more healers/reviver role with survivability.  My sunflower gets one shot so easily I don't even get to use my new damage buff.

I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way or am I alone in this?  Maybe playing overwatch and having a 99% support character like Mercy has made me want something similar in GW2.
