Worst/Weakest Characters?

Let's face it. With well over 100 variants in a total of 14 character classes, there's a guarantee that there are going to be some worse than others. In this list, I'm going to be counting down my picks for the top 10 worst/weakest characters in the game.

10. S.H.R.Imp

The S.H.R.Imp's dual pistols fire shrimpy lasers. These lasers are fast and more damaging than shots fired from the basic Imp's blasters.

This, however, comes at a cost. This cost is a slower firing speed.

Sure, the lasers deal more damage and make it easier to hit targets from longer distances, but the slower firing really cripples his damage per second.

His mech is by far the greatest for range and has decent mobility, but I'm talking about the Imp itself here, and besides, you have stronger, more reliable mechs to choose from, like the Z7 and Scallywag.

9. Tank Commander

Tank Commander's Mega Cannon fires one, incredibly damaging shot. It sounds cool at first, but in reality, it's a very underwhelming weapon.

The rocket the Mega Cannon fires deals between 25 and 40 damage on a direct hit, with an additional 20 for splash.

Its not even enough to two shot 125 health classes without the damage upgrade, and that two second reload time can get the better of you until you unlock his reload upgrades.

And only 20 splash? Look at Scuba Soldier, who has two shots that deal up to 30 in splash.

8. Captain Squawk

Captain Squawk works a lot different from the other Pirates. For one, his scattershot is a short ranged toxic spray, similar to various Chompers, such as Toxic and Power.

But the damage it puts out is pathetic, it's even worse than that of Toxic Chomper.

The scope works similarly to Tank Commander, firing one powerful shot.

The downside? You have to take time to focus your shot. If you fire too early, you'll miss completely.

He has some of the worst DPS in the game, but we're only starting with this list.

7. Armor Chomper

Armor Chomper does exactly what he sounds like. He moves slow but has more health.

His chomp attack deals significantly more damage, but at the cost of a much slower attack speed thanks to a recent nerf, to the point where it puts out LESS damage in terms of DPS.

And for some reason, he now has only 215 health, because apparently 225 was a bit over the top.

6. Plumber

Once a very broken and overpowered character in Garden Warfare 1, The Plumber has now been nerfed to the point where he's almost unusable.

He once had a larger splash radius and more splash damage, in exchange for a smaller clip size.

Now, that splash radius is a bit smaller, and now the splash has damage falloff, meaning if you want to deal that maximum 25 damage on splash, you have to land your shot right next to your target.

And impact damage? Still deals as much as the basic Engineer. Basically, you trade a third of your clip in exchange for a slightly larger splash radius that has damage falloff. Sound bad? It is.

5. Metal Petal

Metal Petal suffers from a lack of mobility. She is tied for slowest character in the game with Armor Chomper and Iron Citron, but she has nowhere near as much health as they do, and both of them have abilities that can give them speed, while Metal Petal doesn't.

Her very slow move speed makes it difficult to play the healer role, being out there, reviving team members when they fall...

If that weren't enough, she also deals less damage than most other Sunflowers.

That solid 150 health may help you survive longer than most in some situations, such as when fighting an Engineer, but you become a much easier target for snipers, mechs, or even a stray Imp Punt.

4. Breakfast Brainz

Breakfast Brainz is much different than other Superheroes. He runs faster, and his firing rate (punches and laser) increases as he keeps attacking, but he eventually gets tired and overheats.

His fists deal a weak 4 damage per hit, and even at his maximum attack speed, the basic Super Brainz still puts out more damage than him. Sure, he gets a short speed boost on a melee vanquish, but that's still less damage.

His ranged attack, the Batter Splatter, fires (delicious) waffles. These (delicious) waffles start firing slowly, but they deal more damage than a laser, and fire faster and faster as Breakfast Brainz continues firing.

Sounds good (and delicious), but it still isn't as effective as the laser the default Super Brainz fires.

And to top it all off, when he does get tired and overheat, you can expect to not be able to use your laser (or fists) for several seconds.

3. Scallywag Imp

This legendary Imp was introduced recently in the Frontline Fighters update. His appearance may look cool, but nothing is cool about his weapon or its damage.

His Lootie Shooties only hold 10 shots, and are intended for close ranged combat.

His firing rate is... Decent, but the damage each shot does...

At maximum (at close range, critical hits) you're only dealing 20 damage per shot. Firing about 2.5 shots a second, his maximum DPS is about 50. And that's at close range.

He struggles to hit longer ranged targets, and the low damage he does at that long range isn't even worth talking about.

Sure, he does activate his legendary Yohoho mode with fewer vanquishes, but all it really offers the Scallywag is increased speed (for a short duration of 15 seconds) and an increase back to half health, should he be below that when he activates Yohoho mode. No increase in damage with this legendary mode.

Don't get me wrong, He has, in my opinion, the greatest mech. But we're talking about the Imp itself here.

Overall, his damage is weak, you have to get up close to deal even a "meh" amount of damage, and his legendary mode doesn't help his low, low damage.

2. Toxic Chomper

Oh yeah. Anyone who's unlocked this guy knew he would be on this list. Toxic Chomper has never seen any buffing since the original game's launch (the spread of the toxic effect doesn't count), even though he's always been one of the worst characters around.

His breath overheats quickly... It only deals 6 damage per hit whereas the others deal significantly more damage... Fire Chomper is still a direct upgrade even after his nerf...

There's nothing much to say about him other than his damage is pathetic compared to pretty much any other Chomper, even Chomp Thing.

Before I get to number one, let's discuss some honorable mentions.

HM1. Fire Rose

This Rose has the function of charging up her shots, and they can be pretty powerful at times, but there's a catch.

She lacks the incredible firing rate that Frost Rose does, and packs a rather underwhelming amount of damage with her uncharged shots.

Her fully charged shot may deal a solid 50 damage, but the projectile's speed is slow, and has a much weaker lock, meaning it doesn't turn nearly as far.

HM2. Rugby Star

Rugby Star fires exploding and fast traveling shots from his Rapid Fire Rugby Launcher. These explosions cause a decent amount of splash damage.

However, his firing rate is extremely low, firing only about 4-5 shots a second. Given his maximum damage is 12 per shot, it's not hard to see why you never really see anyone use him.

HM3. Pylon Imp

Don't get me wrong, this Imp used to be able to put out absurd amounts of damage, with his very high splash damage.

He just hasn't been the same since the two nerfs he has received. His maximum clip size was cut in half, and his splash was brought down to only a third of what it was before, with the slight buff of increased impact damage.

Even with that impact buff, he's still dealing less damage than ever, impact and splash. Remember, splash damage is what makes impact so powerful.

1. Party Brainz

Some of you may be surprised Party Rose wasn't on my list or in this number one spot, but personally, I think she's a decent character right now (but still needs something to help her activate her Party Time mode (along with all Party Characters in general)) and Party Brainz is much, much weaker.

Party Brainz has a pathetic laser, making even that of Breakfast Brainz look good.

And his fists? Please. The default Super Brainz deals a total of 85 damage should all three punches connect. Party Brainz, on the other hand, deals only 55 with his three hit combo.

That low damage makes it near impossible to get into a group of Plants and take them all out, like how the basic Super Brainz does.

And his Party Time mode? His punch combo STILL deals less damage than the basic Super Brainz. Sure, you move faster, but still...

And it's not like his laser is any more effective. It still deals less damage outside of close range.

You could try and utilize you abilities to activate your Party mode (Super Ultra Ball at range, Turbo Twister for close range, Heroic Kick to retreat), but where's the fun in that?

Sure, some of you may think there are worse characters out there or that some of these characters on my list are fine, but don't take it personally. This is my list, not yours.

And with that, this has been my list of the top 10 worst/weakest characters.
