XBOX Series S bug

When playing battle for neighborville twice on this new system...first the audio cut out then shortly after the screen froze and requiring me to forcefully shut down the game...after that NO games would launch after until a full system reset was done (all configs had to be set again as in language, country, etc) but games could be left installed.

When trying to launch BFN after the first crash it simply shows the BFN loading screen followed quickly by a black screen until you forcefully shut the game down...other games I tried would launch loading screens and either show black or simply spin trying to load the game and never completing.

This has happened twice since Friday (Nov. 13th).

I haven't seen anything listed like this issue in the XBOX known issues bugs.

  • Hey @Gormey 🙂

Clear the MAC Address, and do a hard reset on your Console.

Go to Settings, Network, Advanced Settings, Alternate MAC Address, and Clear. Then fully turn off your Console for 30 seconds or so, and turn it back on.

    Thanks!

Because it can help with issues like this.

If it doesn't, then reinstall the game and see if that helps.

@iluminatethesky OK, I'll try that next time and see if it works...to be clear a system reset also fixes the issue, temporarily at least.
  • @Gormey Happened twice since and I used the alternate MAC clear to fix it, which is much faster then the system reset...thanks. I hope they patch this bug soon or at least add it to the known issues list.
  • @Gormey If my Xbox will not load the game, most of the time, I will do a restart on my Xbox console and will leave it for a while, and then load it back up. It works a bunch of the time.
