I was playing co-op on PlayStation whether part of the issue or not, after completing 5-4 getting the zen garden watering can, when Crazy Dave tells me about the watering can I’m unable to progress. It says “click X to continue” through his dialogue but it is not working. I restarted the game multiple times and I am soft locked from adventure mode currently. Also, the garden doesn’t show up in the main menu because it is technically not unlocked because I am unable to complete the dialogue with Dave. I even tried turning my controller off and back on, only for the cursor to show up and nothing else. I am able to do puzzles and mini games but no main campaign levels because it will force me into the dialogue with Dave.
Does anyone else have this problem where a plant disappears from their Zen garden? I think it happens when you sell a plant from another garden. For example: you sell a plant from the night garden, and that's why a plant from the regular garden disappears. But I don't know, I don't really see any problems with this.

No, unfortunately not I hope I can find a way around it though I’ve been trying everything.
When you try to beat the game the zen garden is broken on Playstation 4 and 5 making so you can't beat the game because the water can is not there

Xbox player here. Just got this issue today after saving to buy it. Such a disappointment. Also, how do these basic softlock bugs pass through to the game's final release? Ridiculous.
TLDR: Dialogue with crazy dave at the beginning of level 5-5 can't progress and softlocks the game until restart. EA, FIX YOUR GAME!
I'm on an Xbox One. Following completion of level 5-4, the intro to 5-5 is crazy dave telling you about the Zen Garden. However, pressing the A button to progress through his dialogue doesn't work. Nothing happens. You can't exit this, and you have to restart. Even then, adventure mode is completely unplayable past this point until this is fixed. And I already beat the unlocked puzzles/minigames, so no more stalling lol.

Me too man that happened to me. And also if you click any other level of the adventure Mode you Will get teleported to that stupid cutscene that make you stuck and forces you to close and open the game again. I hope this get fixar soon
This never happened to me and I play on a nintendo switch!
At least on PS5, an update came out in the last few days that I believe is the cause of the problem; my friends who passed this stage before that day didn't have any of these problems.
This is ridiculous already. They need to fix this issue. Obviously needs better testers.
I work in FQA, this is not a matter of having better testers, it's a matter of budget and time for thorough smoke tests.
Bugs like these are usually meant to be found when a release version needs to be tested and all story must be played through again. Since anyone unlocking the Zen Garden would encounter this, it means any untalented tester would have found it, so they just didn't have a task to test it.
UNLESS the tester with this task straight-out lied about testing it on the test plan.... which is possible, actually. I've seen my fair share of slackers just not doing the work they're supposed to. So you would actually be right after all, lol.
My point was just that this bug is easy to find, the problem is more likely leadership's fault than the tester's.
I'm having the exact same issue. Has anyone made it passed this yet? If you have please share the knowledge this is frustrating

Crazy Dave starts a tutorial on the watering can in the Zen Garden, you're told to press X (PS5 version), but nothing happens and there is nothing to interact with visible on the screen.
I've turned the game off and on several times, deleted and reinstalled, turned the console on and off, checked for updated version etc. Nothing has fixed it.
The rest of the roof levels are unplayable as everytime I try to play, it sends me back to the broken watering can/ Zen Garden tutorial.
EA you need to fix this.
This isn't a free to play Android game, people have paid real money for this game, only to locked out of being able to progress though the levels
Yes to pay 20 dollars to play a game I bought before and it's broken is absolutely hilarious. Kushner fix it ....Saudi prince fix this ish
Yes i thought i was only one i hve uninstalled game and reinstalled still doesnt wrl 4 me either.
Having the same issue. We've tried multiple resturts, uninstall and reinstall even shutting off the console and restarting the whole thing. Nothing seems to work.
I’m having the same issue I backed out to menu when I got the watering can and now I can’t continue with the story
