PvZ Replanted Bug on PC; Clicking, holding not registering

Bug shown in video below, game seems to detect the first click on objects in the game (seen by buttons lighting up) but does nothing about the click i.e. clicking once on options wont open options, clicking multiple times but slow does not get recognised, only clicking 3 or more times in quick succession will yield a result.

The game is unplayable in this state, game has been; restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled, files have been reverified, i've tried using a gamepad (where i get a similar problem) no solution in sight atp.

Computer Specs: Ryzen 7 5700X, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB, 64GB of ram

Hey Vineoflife , that's weird, are you launching the game via EA app or Steam? Do you have any other devices that you don't need and could unplug (ie webcam, controller etc)?

Steam, and i have no devices plugged in other USBs (storage) the controllers are connected wirelessly and the problem persists if connected or not. when i remote play with my friend from his computer none of these issues are there.

Did you ever find a fix for this? After more than 60 hours of gameplay, and being away of the game for a while, I began experimenting just the same thing this week. I'm launching the game from the EA app, by the way.
Computer Specs: i5-10600KF, RTX 3050 OC 8GB and 64GB of RAM.
