Will multi-player for vs mode ever be added?

I completely agree, my friends and I were so excited for the announcement until we found out that there's no online multiplayer. Really disappointing.

Hey yad1ell​ , unless something official is announced, I'm not sure that multi-player will be a thing. The only official thing we got from devs is that there will be local couch co-op and Nintendo game share support, which means that Switch players can play together across two systems.

What do you mean? The versus mode is inherently multiplayer.
