All the games take forever to load

My main complaint is that all the games take forever to load - it doesnt matter if you pay or not - and so many popup ads about how many points i have - i dont care - just want games to load faster - they used to load in a few minutes now take forever

Hello and Welcome to EA Pogo Forums! Thank you for reaching out and for being such a long and dedicated member in our Pogo community, nearly 30 years is truly remarkable and very special 😊 Please allow me a moment to clarify a few of your concerns..

"so many popup ads about how many points i have - i dont care"

The popups you are seeing are actually Pogo's Constellation Reward notifications, these are a built in Pogo feature that alert us to points and progress and are not traditional popup ads. Real "popup ads" redirect you away from the site entirely, whereas these notifications stay right within Pogo making them notification alerts.

🔖Some players like the constellation for the numerous rewards and there are some that do not play the constellation. Currently there is not a way to opt out of the constellation reward system. However, offering both paying and free members the option of not participating in Pogo's Constellation Rewards I think is a great idea and should be suggested in the monthly player experience surveys.

"just want games to load faster - they used to load in a few minutes now take forever"

When a browser-based gaming site is taking a longtime to load, that’s not typical behavior and shouldn't be happening. Usually when any website feels slow or struggles to load, the issue is often the device, browser, or internet connection, not the website alone. Currently my games are opening in approximately 3 to 7 seconds after selecting them, so let us figure out together why yours may be taking significantly longer.

Browser-based games run best when the device is clean, properly configured, and have room to move. Unlike in times past, when devices needed little maintenance, today’s technology expects us to manage a lot more settings and upkeep

You can compare a slow device to a slow-draining sink or a car that still feels sluggish even when you press the gas all the way down. Something is causing it not to perform at its best; this is where system checks and updates play a huge factor.

Some of the most likely causes for games loading slowly:

    • Low RAM (Memory): Too many programs, browser tabs or background processes running at the same time competing for your device's available memory.
    • CPU overload: Your processor is being stretched beyond its comfortable limits trying to render graphics, audio and game data simultaneously.
    • Bloated cache, cookies and temporary files:  Old data that has built up over time and is slowing down how your browser communicates with Pogo.
    • Outdated Browser: Browsers need updating every 2-4 weeks and outdated versions struggle with modern game rendering.
    • Outdated Graphics drivers: Games are graphically rich and outdated GPU drivers directly affect loading and performance.
    • Router and Internet Performance: An overworked or outdated router can throttle your connection and slow game loading significantly.
    • Browser Extensions: Ad blockers, script blockers and other extensions can interfere with how games load and render.
    • Outdated device or operating system: An aging device or unsupported OS creates a performance ceiling that no amount of troubleshooting can fully overcome. Currently we can see this slowly happening for some Windows 10 or older versions.

Special Note to all Readers:  It is important to highlight a key point that is frequently overlooked. While Pogo provides the games, they do not have any control over the settings of our personal devices. As players, we alone manage our devices, and Pogo cannot access them to implement any changes, updates, or modifications.

Please take a moment to work through the guides below which address all of these in detail depending on device and browser:

    Browser Help Guides

    Network & Graphics Drivers

    Cleaning suggestions from Device Manufactures
