farm merge valley coin issue

When you merge the coins you get the crowns, and they travel to the upper left. The coins stay on the farm. To add the coins to your total coins, you must click on the coin. Once you click on the coin there will be a popup that says what the coin is worth, and a green box that says COLLECT. Click on the green COLLECT box and the coin will disappear from your farm and the value of the coin will be added to the total in the upper left.

That hasn't worked for me. I've been stuck at 199 coins for a few days now. I have cleared the cache and cookies on both of my hp computers and my iPad. I have followed instructions to download the game which was successful on all machines. I have completed another badge and my coins in the upper left are still at 199. I am very frustrated!
