Very true, depending on the challenge or event some will allow you to deactivate a badge for another one, this event did not.
There seems to be a Garden Blast outcry this week, very few players enjoy this game because of the difficulty.
I have completed the Knitting Glory Badge Marathon and discovered to complete the Garden Blast badge of "leave 10 moves or more left 5 times" you must use a lot of powerups to set yourself up. I also advised a few other players to watch videos online of other players playing the Garden Blast game to come up with strategies.
Hope this helps 🐱

@abbycattx Thank you. I am a long-time Club Pogo member. And, as such, I have enjoyed the rollout of new games to keep the interest.
However, I have drawn the line - for various reasons - at purchasing gems to purchase power ups to be able to complete challenges. ESPECIALLY when it seems games have been DESIGNED with the sole purpose of getting players to spend money to accomplish the game. At the tip top of my list of "used to like, now abhor, loathe, despise, detest, dislike, etc." because they are pure evil: Quinn's Aquarium and Garden Blast.
Same as when Pogis were rolled out ... "complete all the daily and weekly challenges, and you'll get enough Pogis to get to gold status!" And the rewards included gems for achieving the different levels. My assumption is that was restructured as soon as folks purchasing gems went down, because they could win them by playing games.
I've expressed my opinion on this matter, but as others have stated in the forums, etc. it seems that once Pogo went to EA, player feedback doesn't seem to matter. If it did, something would happen, other than *more* levels of Garden Blast being added that require MORE power-ups to be able to complete. ((shrug)) my enjoyment on this platform is quickly waning. And each time I see Quinn's or Garden Blast as a challenge, I give serious thought to whether or not I want to waste valuable time, energy, and effort on something that has no bearing on my 'actual' life. And may cause me distress in some way.
That's a very long answer to your kind post. :D If you read the entire rant, thank you. And if you didn't that's okay, too. 🙂
TL;DR version:
IMO, Pogo has become a money grabbing platform that purposefully designs "games" to be time and money sucks, and doesn't listen to player feedback.

You are hilarious and I agree with you ~ Quinns Aquarium and Garden Blast are my least favorite as well, lol. 😊
