There are 3 'Rewards' at the end of each game. Sometimes there is a 4th reward. The problem occurs when you push Play Again. The 4th reward does not register.

I got one XP reward and pushed Play Again twice. Each time I got one XP reward for a total of 3, but the total XPs increased by only one XP.

This happens no matter what the 4th Reward is.

In order to have the Rewards count, you must first push Return to Home. Then go back in and select the 8 card game.
